Leslie is the founder of Enigma. He started his career in strategy and management consulting in 1996. He is a firm believer in strategic business planning as the most successful means of delivering consistent results. He is committed to the philosophy of business success through customer focus and engagement.
Following this credo, as Managing Director of Daewoo Cars in the UK he started a revolution in the automotive retail sector with a dynamic new approach to selling cars as the brand engaged directly with the customer breaking away from the traditional dealership model. This strategy was in direct response to an incredible goal of launching a car company from scratch in 9 months and achieving record first year market share.
Since then he has delivered commercial success with clients at the leading edge of business as a strategy advisor, consultant and coach at board level across sectors as diverse as travel and fashion.
And by the way, he smiles a lot, though quite often only on the inside!
Carla Woodcock is responsible for delivering marketing consultancy and execution and is also responsible for the Enigma marketing function. (So she will be happy to receive your feedback on any aspect of our marketing and communications activity!).
Carla has followed an exciting career path working in sales and marketing in the Leisure and Tourism and Media and Events industries. She has worked for The Merlin Group (The London Eye, Madame Tussauds and Alton Towers), Ripleys Believe It or Not! (which she launched in the UK), The Jockey Club (Epsom Racecourse) and Contiki Holidays where she was Sales and Marketing Director for the UK and Europe.
Carla’s key strength is her ability to rapidly assess and assimilate the key marketing and communications drivers in the business and to apply her skill-set to effect rapid change and maximum impact. She has been responsible for brand definition, proposition development, and launch marketing to very tight deadlines.
She is experienced in developing and managing high level consumer marketing campaigns and achieving quantifiable returns on tight marketing spend.
Carla shares the same surname as Leslie – ‘cos she is his daughter!
